L'Oréal Professionnel Xtenso Oleoshape Resistant Hair Cream is a professional in-salon permanent straightening system designed for resistant, wavy and slightly curly frizzy hair. The two-step system combines a smoothing cream with a neutralizing cream to help create smooth, straight, shiny and manageable-looking hair.

The Oleoshape formula features a THIO complex and an Oil Trio designed to work through the hair fibre while providing conditioning care. The formula helps control frizz and volume while transforming wavy or curly hair into a smoother, straighter appearance.

Suitable Hair Type

The Resistant formula is designed for wavy and slightly curly, frizzy resistant hair. L'Oréal also offers an Extra Resistant version for very curly and coily frizzy hair.

How to Use

This is a professional chemical straightening service. Read and follow the manufacturer's instructions before use and wear suitable protective gloves.

1. Cleanse the hair with a suitable clarifying shampoo and towel-dry thoroughly. Do not apply conditioner before the straightening treatment.
2. Divide the hair into four sections.
3. Pour the Xtenso Oleoshape Resistant smoothing cream into a non-metallic bowl.
4. Starting at the nape, apply the cream section by section along the lengths, keeping approximately 0.5 cm away from the scalp.
5. Do not pull or stretch the hair during application. Distribute the cream evenly and gently smooth the hair.
6. Allow the product to develop according to the hair condition and manufacturer's recommended timing. Do not exceed the maximum development time.
7. Rinse the hair thoroughly with lukewarm water until all straightening cream has been removed.
8. Towel-dry the hair carefully.
9. Apply the Xtenso neutralizing cream evenly through the hair and smooth the hair straight during processing.
10. Leave the neutralizer on for approximately 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

L'Oréal's current Oleoshape instructions also advise avoiding washing the hair for at least 48 hours after the service and recommend using the Xtenso Care range to maintain smoothness and shine.
