Suitable Hair Type

Glatt 0 is intended for naturally very curly or frizzy hair. Hair quality and porosity should be assessed carefully before performing a permanent chemical straightening service.

Directions

Assess the hair condition and select the appropriate Glatt strength. Hair should be clean and free from styling-product residue. For porous hair, use the recommended pre-treatment and ensure the hair is towel-dry before application.

Wearing suitable protective gloves, divide the hair into four sections. Apply the straightening cream evenly to the lengths, avoiding the scalp/root area, and comb through carefully without pulling or tangling the hair.

The official Glatt procedure allows a maximum application time of 20 minutes. Cover the hair and process for approximately 10–20 minutes, depending on hair type. Use the recommended rubber-band test to determine when processing is complete.

Rinse the hair thoroughly with water for approximately 5–8 minutes to remove the straightening cream completely.

Apply the Glatt neutralising cream evenly in sections while combing the hair straight. Leave to process for approximately 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. Follow with an appropriate conditioning treatment before styling.
